Day 1: Los Angeles & Las Vegas

Leaving behind the ‘City of Angeles’ we drive onto the desert neon city of Las Vegas – the greatest show on earth. Watch out though, some dub this place ‘Lost Wages’! Why not opt for to cruise down “The Strip” in a super-stretch limo, indulge in an all-you-can eat buffet, take in a show or just watch the amazing crowds and neon signs as the glitzy hotels try to outdo each other with spectacular attractions. And if that’s not enough, take a helicopter flight back down The Strip, or just gamble the night away in one of the world class casinos. Oh and there’s a saying here: what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

Accommodation: Hotel included I Meals: Paid locally

Day 2: Grand Canyon

With an early morning departure, we make our way towards America’s premier National Park, and find out why it is called the Grand Canyon. En route we drive past the Hoover Dam and visit the town of Seligman on the original Route 66. The grandest canyon of them all can challenge your head for heights too. Keep your feet firmly on the ground or swoop above it all on an optional helicopter flight. One thing’s for sure though, this place looks incredible from any angle, especially walking along the rim at sunset. You will never forget your first glimpse of the Canyon as you realise the immense vastness and extreme beauty of it all.

Accommodation: Camping from 1st April-31st October / Hotel 1st November-31st March | Meals: Paid locally

Day 3: Monument Valley

We rise early to catch sunrise from the rim of the Grand Canyon, watching as the colours change and expand inside the belly of the Canyon. There is time for a quick rim walk before venturing into the desert southwest; we hit iconic Monument Valley, used in countless Hollywood scenes from Westerns to 2001: A Space Odyssey and Forest Gump. It is also the most photographed place in America and for good reason. With an included backroads Navajo guided 4×4 tour, we flit between towering buttes and massive mesas. This is sacred Navajo land; and your Navajo guide will share secrets and legends before settling down to an overnight stay in a traditional Navajo mud-hut Hogan. This unique experience is one most travellers never get to experience.

Accommodation: Hogan included I Meals: Dinner included

Day 4: Las Vegas

Departing the most photographed place in America we drive to Horseshoe Bend. An iconic viewpoint where the Colorado River snakes through the canyon floor, in a distinctive Horseshoe shape. Keep your camera batteries charged for this one! We continue back to the desert city of Las Vegas as the sun starts to set and the city becomes awash with neon lights. We enjoy a quick driving tour of Las Vegas before heading out for an optional Korean Restaurant BBQ dinner. The rest of the night is free to explore and you may want to head downtown for the Fremont Street experience, the original Las Vegas.

Accommodation: Hotel included I Meals: Breakfast included

Day 5: Los Angeles

We pass by the Mojave Desert, literally paved with the iconic Joshua Trees before making our way back to Los Angeles… where the sun goes down and the stars come out. Upon arrival we enjoy a quick tour of Hollywood Boulevard and photo stop of the famous sign in the Hollywood Hills, before hitting Venice Beach, the most ideal place in LA for people watching and enjoying food by the beach from one of the many stalls. This tour ends at the hotel at 17:00.
