Day 1-2: Las Vegas & Grand Canyon 24/25 Dec

Leaving the bright lights of Las Vegas behind we drive along a section of the original Route 66 to the town of Seligman which has stood still in time since the 1950s when Route 66 was the main road in America. We continue onto the Grand Canyon National Park where we spend two days and nights exploring the vastness of this great natural wonder. Christmas at the Grand Canyon is a fairy-tale setting for the holiday celebrations. From the ornately decorated, 20-foot-tall Christmas tree rising above the mezzanine level at El Tovar Hotel lobby, to the roaring fire in the great fireplace at Bright Angel Lodge, the Grand Canyon provides the perfect backdrop for holiday cheer. With cool daytime temperatures, the winter season really is one of the best times to visit this desert phenomenon. Hike into the canyon itself or enjoy a “bird’s eye view” of one of the World’s 7 Natural Wonders from an optional scenic helicopter flight – all without the summer crowds.

Accommodation: Hotel included

Day 3: Monument Valley 26 Dec

On to Monument Valley, where you can take an optional guided 4×4 tour with Native American guides, then experience a beautiful sunset. Always a highlight, Monument Valley combines breathtaking scenery with a unique cultural experience, as it is the homeland of the Navajo, the largest tribe of Native Americans in the United States.

Accommodation: Hotel included

Day 4-5: Moab & Arches National Park 27/28 Dec

The famous trails in Arches National Park are an open invitation to hike amidst amazing sandstone formations. Also available are the incredible off-road ‘Hummer tours’ that climb high into the hills offering spectacular views of the La Sal mountain range and valley below.

Accommodation: Hotel included

Day 6: Western Ranch 29 Dec

Our high country western ranch provides a taste of the real cowboy life with a ranch house stay and home-cooked meals all included. Ride the range on horseback and try your hand at roping. Yee-haw!

Accommodation: Western ranch included & evening meal

Day 7: Zion National Park 30 Dec

On to magnificent Zion National Park and a chance to hike surrounded by natural beauty before returning to civilization. Try the short walk to ‘Emerald Pools’ or the climb to ‘Angels Landing’ for a towering view of the impressive canyon.

Accommodation: Hotel included & ranch breakfast

Day 8-9: Las Vegas 31 Dec – 01 Jan

Returning to the “Sin City”, the neon lights and casinos of Las Vegas await our arrival to enjoy the New Year! And nobody does it like Vegas! If you’re looking for the one New Year’s Eve party you’ll remember for the rest of your life, look no further. The Strip fills with revellers; fireworks explode over the massive hotels; the casinos and nightclubs are packed; the showrooms are filled with A-list entertainers and Vegas is more gloriously alive than you’ve ever imagined it could be! New Year’s Eve in Las Vegas is truly a world-class celebration. On New Year’s Day we’ve added a Vegas limousine ride so you can continue the party.

Accommodation: Hotel included
