Island Peak/Imjatse ClimbingWe trek from Lukla to Kalapatthar having its great scenery and spectacular panoramic views of the Himalayas including Mt. Everest. Imja Tse involves one steep and exposed 100m Ice or snow climb, otherwise a non techinical snow climb. It’s an isolated peak in the Sagarmatha region, khumbu valley, easily recognisable if you recall its original Name, is land peak (6189m.). And then we return back experience with highlander Buddhist culture and the legends Yeti to Lukla and fly back to Kathmandu.

Your trekking and climbing preparation:

This trek is considered as a non-technical trek and suitable for average people. If you are moderately fit and have a sense of adventure will enjoy this trek. The program is designed to acclimatize you gradually and not expected high altitude sickness. However you are requested to check your altitude fitness and the itinerary.

We suggest you to strengthen your knee muscles and prepare for several days of steep descents. Some physical fitness programs such as running, swimming, biking or aerobics is recommended, but mostly hiking on steep hills or running up and down steps are preferable.

Please note that the following program is prepared in the fact basis however can be change in some circumstances but adjustments will have to made during the trekking. We request you to be flexible with the situation to enjoy yourself.

As the trek is designed for camping arrangement, everything is handled by our team of porters, sherpas and cooks who carry the equipment, assemble and dissemble the camp and have hot meals waiting for you at every food break.

Day to Day Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu, pick up from the airport and transfer to the hotel

Day 02: Sightseeing tours in Kathmandu Valley with professional guide

Day 03: Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and trek to Phakding [2600m]- (approximate 4 hours) at tea House

Day 04: Trek from Pakding to Namche Bazaar [3440m]- (approximate 6-7 hours)at tea House

Day 05: Acclimatization day in Namche Day hikking in Khumjung and Everest view hotel for mountain views back to Namcheat tea House

Day 06: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche [3867m).at tea House (approximate 5 hours)

Day 07: Trek from Tengboche to Pheriche [4200m] (approximate 04 to 05 hours)stay at tea House

Day 08: Trek from Pheriche to Dugla.[4630m] (approximate 01 to 02 hours) at tea House

Day 09: Trek from Dugla to Lobuche [4930m] ( approximate 03 to 04 hours)at tea House

Day 10: Trek from Lobuche to EBC and back to Gorakshep [5180m] (approximate 6-7 hours)at tea House

Day 11: Trek to Kalapattar [5545m] and trek back to Lobuche [4930m] (approximate 6-7 hours)at tea House

Day 12: Trek from Lobuche to Chikhung [4970m] (approximate 6-7 Hours) in Camping

Day 13: Trek from Chukhung to Base Camp. (Approximate 4 hours)in Camping

Day 14: Ascent of island Peak High camp Island Peak [5600m] (approximate 4 hours)in Camping

Day 15: Submit day of Island peak-(6189m.) and back to base camp (Approximate 7-8 hours)in Camping

Day 16: Trek from Base camp to Dingboche [4410m] (Approximate 4-5 Hours)at tea House

Day 17: Trek from Dingboche to Tengboche [3800m](Approximate 4-5 Hours)at tea House

Day 18: Trek from Tengboche to Manju [2800m] (approximate 5-6 hours)at tea House

Day 19: Trek from Manju to Lukla [2880m] (approximate 05 hours)at tea House

Day 20: Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel. Free day for Shopping etc, Evening farewell Dinner

Day 21: Fly back own your Destination
