Baleni Pass via Kareri Lake

Description- Trek through a popular shepherd trail in the western Dhauladhars to the Bharmour area in Chamba crossing Kareri Lake on the way.

 

Look out for- Kareri Lake, Baleni rivulet basin at Charkhotu, higher Dhauladhar view east from Baleni Pass, dense jungles across the pass.

 

Start Point – Naddi (N32 15.151 E76 18.160, 1921 mts), District Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, India

 

End Point – Barehi (N32 26.572 E76 18.007, 1611 mts), District Chamba, Himachal Pradesh, India

 

Highest Point – Baleni Pass (N32 21.620 E76 17.134, 3738 mts), District Kangra/Chamba, India

 

Lowest Point – Rava (N32 16.620 E76 17.931, 1432 mts), District Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, India

 

Difficulty Level – Moderate: Steep ascent to Kareri Lake and long pass day.
