The Panch Kedar trek includes all the five shrines associated with the Hindu legends. All of them are situated in the Kedar Valley. Kedarnath 3580 mtrs. is situated at the head of the Mandakini River. Madhmaheshwar3289 mtrs. situated at the base of Chaukhamba Peak. Tungnath is situated at an altitude of 3810 m. best for the panoramic view of the Himalayas. Arm of Shiva appeared here. Rudranath is an altitude 2286 mtrs. Here the face of Shiva is said to have appeared. It is a natural rock temple in which the Shiva Mukha is worshipped. Kalpeshwar is situated 2134 mtrs. in the beautiful valley of Urgam. There is a cave temple here and Shiva is worshipped in his matted hair form.

Accessibility : Take the overnight Mussoorie Express (10:15pm) from Delhi to reach Haridwar early in the morning.


Route of the trail ( Itinerary):-


Day 01:- Arrival in the Arlee morning at Haridwar then drive to Gorikund. Check in guest house.


Day 02:- After breakfast14 kms. Trek to Kedarnath 3580 mtrs. Check in the guest house/ tents. Sri Kedarnath, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. The trek is passes through beautiful surroundings.


Day 03:- After visit the Temple 14 kms trek down to Gorikund. Check in guest house.


Day 04:- After breakfast drive to Ransi then 8 km. trek to Bantoli on the way we can see the confluence of Madmaheshwar Ganga and Makandya Ganga. Night stay in the tents.


Day 05:- After breakfast 9 kms. trek to

Madhya Maheshwar, It is believed that the navel mid part of the body reappeared at this shrine after disappearing at Kedarnath. Here you see the magnificent view of Chaukhamba, Kedarnath and the Neelkanth peaks. Overnight stay in the tents.


Day 06:- After breakfast 9 kms trek to Bantoli for night camping.


Day 07:- After breakfast 8 kms. tek to Ransi then drive to Chopta, located in an idyllic setting having beautiful meadows and is surrounded by dense forests. Check in the Camp.


Day 08:- After breakfast 3 km. trek to Tungnath temple then 1 km. to Chandrashilla (4100m.) for Himalayan view back 4 km. to Chopta for night camp.


Day 09:- After breakfast drive 30 km. to Sagar 2000mtrs.then12 km. trek to Panar gufa 3800mtrs. It is difficult trek but in the end we can get great Himalayan view mainly Bandar poonch, Trisule, Nandagunti, Nandadevi etc. over night in tents.


Day 10:- After breakfast10 km. trek to Rudranath. The trek passes through wild orchards & picturesque bugyals and involves trekking over high ridges. Visit temple. Overnight in tents.


Day 11:- After breakfast 18 k.m. trek to Dumak village. It is a large village, arrayed along a flat road stone. In the night home stay or tent.


Day 12:- After breakfast 14 k.m. trek to Devgaon. In the night home stay or tent.


Day 13:- After breakfast 2 k.m. trek to kalpeshwar the last of the panchkedar temples. then 10 k.m. trek down to Helnag and drive to Joshimath. Overnight stay in hotel.


Day 14:- Day free or visit Auli /Badrinath (on extra cost) Night stay hotel in Joshimath.


Day 15:- in the morning drive to Haridwar and evening train to Delhi.
