DAY 01 : Arrive Leh

Morning arrive at Leh airport, On arrival met at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Day free for acclimatization, O/N stay at Hotel.

DAY 02 : Leh

After breakfast proceed for a full day sightseeing of Shey Palace, Thiksey and Hemis monasteries and the Stok Palace. Thiksey is an imposing monastery and one of the finest examples of Ladakhi architecture. Overnight hotel.

DAY 03 : Leh – Alchi

After breakfast drive to Alchi, enroute visit Basgo Palace and Likir Monastery. The present Gompa in Likir dates back to the 18th century. It contains huge clay images of Buddha and various old manuscripts. It also houses an interesting collection of Thangkas, old religious and domestic costumes and implements etc. Arrive in Alchi by the afternoon. Visit the monastery at Alchi; spend the afternoon exploring the village. Overnight Camp.

DAY 04 : Alchi – Lamayuru – Leh

After breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Lamayuru Monastery. Lamayuru has fascinating caves carved out of the mountainside. Also known as Yung Drung (Swastika) it is sited on a high promontory overlooking the village and valley. For sheer spectacle value no other Ggompa can match Lamayuru. Drive back to Leh in the evening Overnight hotel.

DAY 05 : Leh – Departure

Morning transfer to the airport time to catch flight for onward destinations.
